I had a visit to the hairdresser tonight. I am sooo happy, I love my new hair. Sarah at Price Attack in the Myer Centre, you are a legend.

Talking about hair is much easier than talking about all the other cancer crap. Besides, I love hair. I hate needles and magazines in doctor's waiting rooms. So I'm going to talk about hair, a lot.

Melanoma Warrior

In July 2004 I felt 3 lumps under my rt. arm that were painful to touch. I wasn't too worried, because I didn't think "cancer lumps" were painful. After having a biopsy, I found I had cancer of the lymph nodes under my rt. arm & in my rt. breast. I didn't know it was Melanoma under aprox. a wk. later when my biopsy came back. My doctor discovered a small white(I thgt. melanoma was dark) spot on my upper rt. arm. That's where the cancer started. After a rt. radiacal mastectomy, I was started… Continue

Friends for Life - advisory committee wanted!!

Do you want to do something to help others?????
Well... it has been 9 months since my best friend passed away after a 5 year battle with Hodgkins.... and 8 months since i have established a charity called 'Friends for Life', supporting young adults on their journey with cancer.

New Support Service for Australian Young Adults affected by cancer

Cancer Connections is Cancer Council NSW initiative that provides an online service that 'supports people affected by cancer'.

You will notice on the sites homepage a brand new Young Adults section. Here you will find the latest young adult discussions and blogs, as well as news about upcoming events for young adults with cancer.
